a mystery
I was going through my computer, having a delete session (of all that junk you accumulate over time) and I found this. It was on a notepad in a hidden folder, inside another hidden folder, inside the program files for a game. It was date stamped Thursday, 17 June 2004, 4:07am. It was titled "ink".
paint a picture
a thousand burning corpses
now im burning,
fire.
static.
i cut myself to bleed
to paint,
to paint for you.
ink,
burning,
heat radiates from the canvas.
ink,
burning,
painting pictures from my veins.
burn the painting
the ink,
the warmth.
you bathe in it.
sleep in the heat.
i cut myself to bleed
to paint for you.
No-one has access to this computer except our family. There is certainly no-one other than ourselves that have access at 2o'clock in the morning.
I know that it was not my eldest daughter who saved/created the file. She was in Baghdad at the time. So, unless it is a totally out of character abberation by my husband, it is one of the other three kids that put it there.
I want to understand what it means, why it's there. I don't like it.

The only thing that crossed my mind when I read it was, it sounds like some of the stuff I wrote in my early 20's. I wasn't depressed, or suicidal or anything. I was just into expressing things in ways that were on the edge. It was just writing, nothing more. I hear you about it being scary. I would be concerned, but hopefully it's nothing.
I would echo Cosmic... reminds me of my early poetry.
Also, it was long enough ago now. I can see why it would make you unhappy, though.
yea i agree with cosmic, sounds like the wild imagination of a teen or 20 something.
I think it sounds like poetry... the way to express really raw feelings. I don't think you need worry. (Its actually quite good though) take a look at some of the song lyrics today its as good.
