good stuff
Some good things happened yesterday.
Firstly, T and Gray got back from Queensland and they are coming down to visit this weekend. I haven't seen them since before I went to Wagga so it is going to be a good weekend.
Secondly, I got a call from my little private. It is not yet confirmed, but she has inside information about her posting at the end of her course. It is looking like Townsville.
This is excellent news all around. She requested Townsville as her first choice. So she is well pleased. It also means that she can move into her sister's house and cat-sit whilst they are away on deployment. B and J are also well pleased.
It also means that, when I go and visit, they are all in one place. It can be a double barrel visit. So, I am also well pleased.
The third good thing about yesterday was that I got my new specs. They will get a little getting used to because the script is quite different and I have gone into trifocals (old age licks balls).
And, before I get really barve, and post my ugly mug on the net (as requested, Oh, so politely), a couple of replies. I answer to lisele, it was Japanese food I gorged upon. And, in answer to the sleepy blueness, a kiwi is someone from New Zealand and a Pom is anyone from England (but definitely excludes Scots, the Irish and, possibly, Geordies).
OK, so here are a couple of really bad pics of me (mainly because I only take bad pics).
Old glasses
And new glasses and about 35kg lighter (but no better looking)

Oooo thanks for the definitions. But ummm... What's a Geordie??
That's great that your girls will be stationed together! The US Navy tries to keep siblings together when possible. My brother-in-law and his brother were on the same ship for a while. But if you're the only two brothers in a family, they won't station you together so the family doesn't lose an entire generation in one attack. "Saving Private Ryan" and all that.
And I must say you're looking very skinny-mini now! Congrats on the weight loss!
wonderful pics and new specs!!!! good stuff here!!! i am well pleased!!:)
Geordie???
AND wow, that is 77.1 pounds...I had to figure it out :) you look wonderful. You are my hero.
Oooooo it's my Fi!!!! Nice new glasses!! And look at you all slim! I'm so proud of your weight loss! Question, why are Geordies not classed as Poms?! They're just as English as the rest of us!
(Stepfordme@ DL) I have trifocals too! Old age does suck.
Congratulations on your weight loss and those glasses are great!
