quick catch-up
So much for a holiday in the tropics! I arrived on the coldest day Townsville has experienced for 65 years, It only got up to 13.9 degrees! BRRRR
It has slowly warmed up since then but it has rained every day. Bloody global warming.
It has been really (really really) good to spend time with my girl. We have explored some of her favourite local haunts and met up with a couple of her mates. I also got to see their new home for the first time (they have bought bloody well, it's lovely).
Today she has headed back to work so I am alone with the grandcat, who isn't much help company, as you can see......
Princess by name and Princess by nature.
I asked B to give me some chores to do whilst she was working (I may as well be useful because I sure ain't decorative). Today I am re-landscaping her front garden. She had all the plants ready to go but they just haven't had time to do the work. I have positioned all the pots. The next job in planting them all and laying the weed matting that we bought yesterday. I then have to organise for a load of river pebbles to be delivered and a huge rock. Tomorrow will be shoveling pebbles.I don't mind doing it and it is better than lying around on the couch all day (like another Princess). Once I've done the garden, I'll make a start on painting the passage. That should pretty well use up all the days she is working.
OK, I've had a quick break (and a waffle). Time to attack the digging.

You're reminding me of the time my mom came up to stay right after I had my daughter. We had a lovely time then, and I can just imagine how much you're enjoying your time with your girl.
So glad you're having a wonderful visit!
