a whole lot of nothing

No post for a few days. Despite it being a long weekend (it was Foundation Day which has something to do with a lady cutting down a tree), I had plenty of access to the computer. I just didn't have anything to write about. That is, of course, assuming that you didn't want to hear all about my weeds. I spent most of the weekend in the garden. This time of year is high maintenance.

I still haven't got anything much to talk about. No ship wrecks or murders. Nothing to laugh at, at all.

But I do have a question (for all you knowledgeable animal lovers out there).

I was sitting outside yesterday (reading all about poor Paris going to jail .... boo hoo). Mr Minyamoo ducked under the trellis and walked towards me. Without pause, he headed straight for my bare feet. He bit my big toe (ouch) and then turned around and sedately walked back under the trellis again.

There was no warning. No communication. No causative incident that I could determine. He didn't even acknowledge the squeal I let out or the kick I flailed in his direction afterwards.

Can one of you pet people out there explain that to me? Is it explainable? Or is it just an inscrutable cat thing?
